Since 2001, the Community Design Center of Rochester has provided more than $3 million in pro bono design and planning services to municipalities, non-profits and neighborhood associations in the nine-county Greater Rochester region.

  • 30+ community design charrettes
  • More than 50 lectures, workshops, and presentations
  • Drawings, plans and reports that leverage design and construction grants for municipalities of every size

Grant Funding resulting from community design charrettes and vision plans:

  • Town of Brighton: $1.565 million grant from Fingerlakes Regional Economic Council for the Monroe Avenue Green Street Project
  • South Clinton Neighborhood: $1 million in Multi Modal and NYS Main Street Program funding
  • ARTWalk: $1.6 million in federal funding for first phase of project; National Council of Mayors' Design Award
  • Williamson: $150,000+ from New York State Main Street grants program and $30,000+ from Genesee Transportation Council for Route 104 study
